A2P certifies a specific lock reference. A brand name does not establish that every product is certified.
Reading the stars
Levels 1, 2 and 3 involve laboratory resistance tests of 5, 10 and 15 minutes. They do not guarantee the same resistance time in a real burglary. Source: CNPP building lock certification.
Checking the proposed reference
Ask for the exact reference, certificate and fitting requirements. Check that the cylinder, lock and proposed parts match the certified assembly. Replacing a component must follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Examining the whole door
The frame, fixings, hinges and component compatibility also matter. Do not infer the resistance of a complete door from the number of locking points alone. See our door reinforcement service.
