Our catalogue features 32 BURG-WÄCHTER models across 10 ranges — high security, premium, office, home, compact, wall, fireproof, gun cabinet, hotel and commercial — from small built-in safes to EN 1143-1 certified business safes.

For an emergency — blocked safe, forgotten code, dead battery — see our blocked safe 24/7 page. We provide safe repair in Brussels, Schaerbeek, Evere, Waterloo, Wavre, Gembloux and across Brabant.

Locked Safe Opening

A safe that won't open is stressful, especially when you need its contents. A forgotten code, flat battery or jammed mechanism calls for an assessment of the model and fault. We prioritise non-destructive methods when the mechanism allows them. The method, risks to the safe and its contents, estimated duration and price are explained before you agree; drilling or replacement may be necessary.

The locking systems considered during assessment include:

  • Key-operated safes — opening in case of a lost key or a seized lock
  • Mechanical combination safes — reset or manipulation of the dial mechanism
  • Electronic safes — keypad failure, flat battery, forgotten PIN code
  • Biometric safes — fingerprint reader malfunction or sensor issues

Opening feasibility is checked against the safe's exact model and condition, including for brands such as Fichet, Bricard, Picard and Mul-T-Lock. Contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays, to confirm whether we can take on the job and when we are available.

Safe Installation

Protecting valuables, documents or cash starts with choosing and anchoring the right safe. We match the product certificate and anchoring instructions to the intended contents, site and any requirements written in your insurance contract.

Domestic Safes

For your home in Brussels, we install freestanding safes as well as models that bolt to the floor or wall. Our technicians advise you on the volume, security level and locking type best suited to your needs — key, electronic code or mechanical combination.

Fireproof Safes

Burglary and fire resistance are separate certifications. EN 1143-1 covers burglary resistance. For fire protection, we select an exact model certified to EN 15659 or EN 1047-1, with a duration and class suited to paper or data media. The certificate and any insurer requirement are checked before ordering.

Wall-Mounted Safes

A wall-mounted or recessed safe offers maximum discretion. Our team handles the wall cutting, fitting and sealing of the safe according to best practice. This type of installation is particularly well suited to Brussels apartments and houses where space is limited.

Professional Safes

Shops, offices, pharmacies, hotels and restaurants — we install professional-grade safes that meet European resistance classes. We offer tailored solutions:

  • Deposit safes with a slot for retail cash handling
  • Security cabinets for the secure filing of sensitive documents
  • Key safes for centralised access management
  • Burglary-resistant safes certified to EN 1143-1 where that class is specified in the insurance contract

Repair and Maintenance

A safe requires regular maintenance to ensure reliable operation over time. Our technicians provide repair and preventive maintenance for your safe anywhere in Brussels and Brabant.

Our repair and maintenance services cover:

  • Lock replacement — upgrading from a key lock to an electronic or biometric system
  • Combination change — resetting the code after a move or a change of staff
  • Lubrication and adjustment — servicing bolts, hinges and internal mechanisms
  • Battery replacement — for electronic safes, before a complete power failure
  • Security upgrade — reinforcing an existing safe with components from trusted brands such as Fichet, Vachette or Mul-T-Lock

Safe giving you trouble, or thinking about getting one installed? Give us a call on 0495 205 400. We'll talk through your situation, give you an honest quote, and schedule an intervention that works for you — anywhere in Brussels and Brabant.

Frequently asked questions

Can you open a safe if I lost the code?
Opening feasibility depends on the model, locking system and condition of the safe. We prioritise non-destructive methods when the mechanism allows them. Drilling or replacement may be necessary: the method, risks to the safe and its contents, estimated duration and price are explained before you agree. Have the brand, model reference, a photo of the front and proof of ownership or right of access ready.
How do I get a quote for safe opening?
Call us at 0495 205 400 with your safe's model and brand. We give you an immediate estimate. The price depends on the safe's security level. If you can send us a photo of the safe's front panel (brand, model, keypad type), even better — it helps us prepare the specific tools needed.
Do you install safes?
Yes, we sell and install built-in and freestanding safes. EN 1143-1 certifies burglary resistance; EN 15659 and EN 1047-1 cover fire resistance. We check the exact reference, anchoring and any written insurer requirement.
Do you sell fireproof safes?
Yes. We distinguish protection for paper from protection for data media and state only the duration shown on the selected model's EN 15659 or EN 1047-1 certificate. Burglary resistance requires separate EN 1143-1 certification.
My safe is blocked but I have the right code, what should I do?
A weak battery, faulty keypad or jammed mechanism can prevent opening even with the correct code. Check your model's manual for batteries, any lockout periods and emergency power, if the manufacturer provides for it. Do not force the handle or apply voltage to unidentified contacts. If the fault persists, send us the model reference and symptoms to prepare an assessment; this symptom alone does not establish the cause or the time needed.
